Winnipeg Childfree Women is a friendly, women-only social group based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Since our founding in 2021, we’ve created a supportive and positive environment where women who are childfree by choice or childless can meet, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.
Beyond our organized events, members frequently gather for coffee, game nights, potlucks, karaoke, and other casual social activities. This makes our group much more than a standard Meetup — it’s a lively community where childfree women in Winnipeg can truly belong.

Membership is low-cost, currently $10.99 USD for 2026, and includes a 30-day free trial so new members can attend a couple of events and get a feel for our community. Fees cover the Meetup platform and are adjusted as more members join, keeping this group affordable and non-profit. More members = lower membership costs.

How We Started
Hi, I’m Katelyn – the founder of this amazing childfree women’s group! I started the meetup group during a very lonely time in order to meet fellow childfree women! It was 2021, and frankly, I had virtually no friends. The friends I had at the time were all having kids and weren’t really available to hang out like before, and then COVID hit.
I didn’t want to be part of the loneliness epidemic, I wanted to cure it by connecting like-minded women together. I knew there must have been other women like me who didn’t want kids I just needed to figure out a way to meet them! So I founded our meetup group in April 2021! We abided by all of the social distancing rules at the time meeting outdoors mostly. Little by little our group grew into a thriving close-knit community.
